What's the Difference?
What's the difference between the MAGNET product type and the magnetic attribute?
MAGNET (Product Type)
The MAGNET product type is reserved for items whose primary function is to be a magnet. For the most part, this product type is only used for:
- Science magnets
- Magnets for holding things up (ex: block magnets, magentic hooks, etc.)
Magnetic (Attribute)
Many items are secondarily magnetic. For example, there are magnetic borders, magnetic puzzles, and magnetic hall passes. However, the primary function of these items are borders, puzzles, or hall passes.
TIP for Choosing the Product Type:
Ask yourself:
- "If I could only put this in one spot in my store, would I put it with the puzzles? or the Super Strong Magnet Hooks?"
- "If the word 'magnetic' wasn't in the title, is it more similar to other hall passes? or more like a Horse shoe magnet?"
