Feature Points

Nearly all e-commerce platforms like Amazon, eBay, or Google request up to 5 feature points for every product we list on their service.

Feature points are shown on the product page as a list of bullet points within the Description tab, directly following the long description.

Focus on Features & Benefits, not Facts

If you're standing in the store with a customer who asks "Why do you recomend this book?" you probably wouldn't respond with "Because it was published in 2023, measures 8½"×11" inches, has 128 pages, and is printed on acid-free paper." So don't talk that way online either. Use the feature points to sell the product - not to rattle off a list of facts.

How does this make the customer's life easier?

This is beneficial for SEO too. People are more likely to search for "math worksheet every day" or "motivational phrases" than for "128 pages" or "6 designs."

Use a short phrase without ending punctuation.

Avoid duplicating feature points in both the description and feature point fields.

Sometimes a vendor will provide, as a feature, something that we have a specific attribute for. When this happens, put the value in its designated attribute and do not include it as a feature. For example, if the vendor offers "128 pages" as a feature, put "128" in the number of pages attribute and do not include it as a feature.
